Sour cream or applesauce?

Both. Make your own sauce:

5 apples, different kinds, some sweet, some sour

a little water to cover, sugar to taste, one pat of butter.

Peel all the apples except the reddest one. cut them into little pieces, put in a saucepan and add water to about halfway. cook and stir. add sugar to taste and butter if desired, and when is butter not desired?
