14. Strategy games

One elective I will be teaching will be strategy games that help thinking. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I got some suggestions at the last Mensa games party. So far, I am thinking of:

Set
Othello / Reversi
Quarto
Blokus
Zertz
Three Stone
.
It is too bad I am not good at Chess or Go.
I'd love the game Kaliko, but it is very expensive.

Maybe if you write to the manufacturer and tell them it is for a class, include a copy of syllabus and official school program, they will send you a desk copy.

It would be worth a try!

For games of logic, I like Pente and DaVinci Challenge.
